Our story

Support Squad was built on a simple belief, that support should feel empowering, not limiting. After years working in the disability sector, our founder saw firsthand that too many services were built around systems, not people. With a strong background in operations, leadership, and consultancy, Erin Heysed brought a deeper level of insight into what quality support should truly look like. Starting with a small, passionate team, Support Squad was built on real relationships, trust, and a commitment to doing better.

Our story

Real Support. Real Impact.

Support Squad began with a simple but powerful belief, that support should feel empowering, personal, and genuinely life-changing.

After years working in the disability sector, our founder saw firsthand that too many services were built around systems, not people. So, Erin Heysed set out to create something different.

With a strong background in operations, leadership, and consultancy, including supporting other providers to navigate the NDIS, Erin brought a deeper level of insight into what quality support should truly look like.

Starting with a small, passionate team, Support Squad was built on real relationships, trust, and a commitment to doing better.

As more people connected with this approach, the organisation grew, now supporting over 400 participants across a range of services, from Support Coordination to a unique Adult Learning Centre and tailored respite experiences.

But no matter how much it’s grown, the heart hasn’t changed. Support Squad exists to listen, to advocate, and to walk alongside the people it supports, helping them build confidence, gain independence, and create a life that feels full, meaningful, and completely their own.

Because at Support Squad, it’s never just about support, it’s about people.
